Mentalist Nick Compise is deservedly described as a "modern day Sherlock Holmes” utilizing a keen and fascinating ability to read peoples' thoughts, influence their actions, and predict the future. Compise’s talents have captured the imagination of people around the world and form all works of life. Whether performing on stage at theaters, colleges, trade shows, corporate events large or intimate to standing ovations of astonishment, or teaching individuals and professionals in the corporate arena how to effectively read and influence people, Compise is a master of making the impossible possible.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., this shy and quite child became a Black Belt in Nihon Goshin Aikido as a teen. This martial art whose techniques and applications focus around “KI” which is your internal energy that you can channel to do things that appear to be superhuman. Eight years of perfecting this craft was as an avenue for Compise to come out of his shell and gain confidence to perform in front of others. Nihon Goshin Akido is how he got his first look at being able to do things that appear to be beyond what an ordinary person can do.
A few years later Nick saw a magician on TV and was impressed by what he saw. That started Compise’s interest in magic which led him directly into Mentalism, one of the many forms of magic. Nick started playing around with the art but it was just a hobby as his aptitude for physical training and teaching led him to try his hand as a physical and health teacher. “If I was able to do one or two things for friends that was good enough for me” says Compise. In 2006, Nick decided he would see if he could make a living at being a mentalist. Like most other mentalists Nick started performing in restaurants and other small venues. This led to actual stage shows and the validation Nick received convinced him to take on being a mentalist as a career.
Even though Nick was touring and performing around the country, in 2009 he decided it was time for a permanent change of scenery and felt that Atlanta, GA was the perfect location with its emphasis and acceptance of all things entertainment. After a few months of living here his unique brand of a “Psychological Entertainer” caught like wild fire among Atlanta’s night clubs and corporate events. Compise is the only recognized and working Mentalist in Atlanta.
Taking his talent and aptitude for teaching one step further, Nick started sharing his knowledge, techniques and secrets on how to read and influence people with individuals and companies. According to Compise, “any one can learn in a matter of minutes and use these skills in their personal and professional lives”. Nick Compise possess highly developed abilities and shares them with the world.
